Join us on March 28 for our next Parent and Educator Workshop The Functions of Working Memory and Executive Control, presented by Darlene Robertson, Professional Development Director from Assets School. The workshop will be held at Kanu o ka Aina New Century Public Charter School located at 64-1043 Hiā€˜iaka Street in Waimea.

This workshop is designed for both parents and educators and will explore the topic of working memory and its relationship to the executive function process. Research shows a high correlation between working memory and success in school. Working memory is the ability of the brain to hold onto facts while actively using the information to do an activity. Weak working memory can impact academic functioning such as math computation, reading comprehension, written expression, following multi-step directions, attention and organization/study skills.

There is no fee to attend this workshop, however registration is required. To register online, please click here or contact Hawaii Learning Resource at or 808-885-9318.
